Simulation of product life cycle

Product analysis undertaken in the perspective of Life Cycle Design requires the definition of procedures and analytical tools to assist in design and allow the management of design choices (at the level of both product layout and specifications of single components), in relation to the productís performance, conventional (functionality, reliability and cost) and environmental, over its life cycle.

Design choices can be directly linked to product performance using models of product behavior. With these models it is possible to simulate the life cycle in relation to phenomena of deterioration in performance of materials (due to external factors or loading conditions).
