Optimal distribution of disassembly depth of components in the whole system is a key concept with this regards.

In a more complete vision of the question, disassembly requires different levels of approach. Particularly, Design for Disassembly must be complemented by Planning for Disassembly to determine the optimum sequencing for
selective disassembly of a target component, or for the partial/complete disassembly a system.
